Profiles have been produced for each of Hull’s 21 electoral wards, for the three Area Committee Areas and for Hull overall. Five profiles have also been produced for each of Hull’s geographical areas defined on the basis of the Index of Multiple Deprivation 2019 (from the most deprived fifth of areas of Hull to the least deprived fifth of areas of Hull).
The latest versions include a mixture of public health data, population data and Census data (from the 2021 Census). Each report includes the following information:
- Population structure (2022)
- Ethnicity (from 2021 Census)
- Household composition, tenure and type of housing (from 2021 Census)
- Number of people in the household, and the number of cars or vans in the household (from 2021 census)
- The proportion of residents who are veterans (from 2021 census)
- Self-reported physical health, disability and unpaid care (from 2021 census)
- Index of Multiple Deprivation 2019
- Fuel poverty (2022), child poverty (2022/23) and income deprived older people
- Benefits claimant count (January 2025, and trends from January 2015)
- Social cohesion, satisfaction with, and problems in, the local area (Hull’s Health and Wellbeing Survey 2019)
- Feelings of trust, neighbourliness and safety, plus use of local parks (Hull’s Health and Wellbeing Survey 2019)
- Life expectancy at birth and at age 65 years (2010-14, 2015-19 and 2020-24)
- Under 75 year standardised mortality ratios (for main diseases for men and women separately) and all age standardised mortality ratios for COVID-19 for 2019-23
- Common causes of death and mortality ratio for deaths considered to be preventable 2019-23
- Most common types of cancer diagnosed 2015-19
- Estimated prevalence of back pain 2012
- Highest level of qualifications (from 2021 census)
- Health status, mental wellbeing, physical activity, diet, obesity, alcohol and smoking information (Hull’s Health and Wellbeing Survey 2019)
- Estimated number of men and women aged 16+ years with lifestyle and behavioural risk factors for poor health, and percentages with combinations of lifestyle risk factors for poor health by age group
- Excess weight among children (National Child Measurement Programme)
- Trends in the number of births and population projections
- Percentage of population registered with different GP practices
