This section on adults covers information on general physical health and mental health and emotional wellbeing, as well as specific diseases and health conditions, as well as end of life and palliative care. Information on screening (and NHS Health Check) and vaccinations is covered within Prevention under Adults.
More severe Mental Ill Health, and the health among other specific vulnerable groups such as Gypsy and Travellers and Veterans are covered within Vulnerable Groups.
Health can be affected by numerous factors, such as deprivation, poverty, housing, education, employment, etc, and these factors are examined under Health and Wellbeing Influences. Health is also affected by lifestyle and behaviours such as smoking, diet, alcohol, physical activity, healthy weight, etc and these are covered within Lifestyle Factors under Adults. Measures of both physical health and emotional wellbeing were included within Hull’s Adult Health and Wellbeing Surveys as well as behaviours and lifestyle factors, and detailed reports are available within Surveys under Tools and Resources.
