Welcome to Hull’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)

The JSNA is a shared evidence base made up of commentaries and data sources which reports on the key areas of health and wellbeing in Hull and the characteristics of Hull's population. Each topic area assesses the current picture in Hull, to support effective service planning and commissioning.

Each topic area is on an individual website page and these pages can be accessed through the Main Menu.

Click on Show Navigation (or box with lines) on tthe top right of the page to show the Main Menu, then click on the down arrows to go to Sub Menu items or individual topic pages.

What is the JSNA?

The JSNA is a shared evidence base made up of commentaries and data sources which reports on the key areas of health and wellbeing in Hull and the characteristics of Hull’s population.

Who contributes to the JSNA?

The JSNA website is updated by Hull City Council's Public Health Intelligence team using information from a wide range of partners such as Public Health England, NHS England and NHS Digital as well as information from local surveys and local partners.

Who is the JSNA for?

The JSNA is for anyone with an interest (professional or personal) in health, wellbeing, and population factors affecting Hull. Information on this site is available for public use and re-use, but should be credited to Hull JSNA if referenced.

Finding the information you want

Each topic area is on an individual website page and these pages can be accessed through the Main Menu. Click on Show Navigation (or box with lines) in the top right corner of the page to show the Main Menu, then click on the down arrows to go to Sub Menu items or individual topic pages.

Using the JSNA

JSNA information can be used to support funding bids, help make service commissioning decisions, aid research work, and help anyone interested in the health, wellbeing and population factors affecting Hull.
